This makes a yummy, heathy snack or healthy substitute for croutons in a salad. You can add any of your favourite spices and flavours.

  1. Preheat oven to 400 F degrees. Line a flat baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Rinse and drain chickpeas. Place them on a kitchen towel and rub until completely dry. Drying the chickpeas well will make them crispy. Sliding off the rest of the skins will make them a lot crunchier.
  3. In a mixing bowl, gently mix all the ingredients.
  4. Pour the seasoned chickpeas onto the baking pan and spread them out on the pan and place the pan in the oven.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes and then stir them and spread them out on the pan again. Bake for another 15 minutes. Check the crispiness of the chickpeas. You can either remove them now or crisp them further by turning off the oven and placing the pan back into the oven for another 10 minutes.
  6. Once the chickpeas are the desired crispiness, remove the pan from the oven and transfer the crispy chickpeas into a plate to cool completely.
